‘Speed of Life’
‘This is quite a different Igneous Flame release. Imagine elements of mid-period Peter Gabriel, Japan, Plaid and Yellow Magic Orchestra with an idiosyncratic ethnic percussion section jamming along with a psychedelic guitarist playing rhythm parts and liquid sustained guitar solos over the top’

Both albums draw on material from the same pool, so I decided to release them at the same time even though the production is very different.
Greeting from the Great Northwest, USA
I wanted to congratulate you on your recent release, Speed of Life! It is just fantastic! It is most certainly a departure from your other amazing work, but I am so grateful you put this out! The fretless guitar is smooth and silky, and the fretless bass playing is such a great addition to the synthy rhythmic backdrops you have created! Thanks again for the release, and for Putting so many tracks on it, I just can’t turn it off!
Cheers
Andrew
Thanks so much !
You never know how something is going to be received when it’s very different to your more ‘usual’ work, so it’s great to get such feedback.
These new tracks have a really good sound, loving the new release. I was wondering if you are able to share what your “go to” plugins or pedals are for those lush reverbs. Anyway, really appreciate all the time and effort that goes into these tracks, best wishes.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the comment ! Yes, these releases always take a long time, the most time being the reworking / listening to the work in progress tracks, making notes and consequently reworking / updating the tracks.
I use all sorts of plugins really, my work is all computer based, so there’s almost no hardware as such, apart from guitars / basses. I go through phases with preferring certain reverbs, but Valhalla Room is my current favourite, with some patches I made for it.
Thanks,
Pete K
